Director, Medical Marketing Innovara, Inc. Dr. Samir Podder is the Director of Medical Marketing at Innovara. He joined Innovara as a senior consultant in 1999. Prior joining to Innovara Dr. Podder has been working with Eisai Pharmaceutical, one of the tops ranked Japanese Pharmaceutical Company. As International Product Coordinator he was responsible for the market development of Eisai products in South East Asia, West Asia, Middle East and Central South America countries. He closely worked with medical communities, Medical Associations, Ministry of Health and Regulatory Authorities of those countries. After joining Innovara he is mainly involved in Medical Marketing business such as Market Research, Market Analysis, Benchmarking Best Practices, Medical Preceptorships and Fellowships etc. During the last three years he has successfully completed various project namely:
He is one of the key persons in developing the strategic alliances with the US Medical Schools and maintaining liaison with thought leaders both in the U.S. and overseas. Developing and managing Preceptoship and Fellowship program for Medical doctors as well as executives is another area of his expertise. He is one of the co-authors of the article, "Going For the Globe" published in Pharmaceutical Executives, June issue 2001. Born in Bangladesh, Dr. Podder has Master in Pharmaceutical Sciences. After receiving his Ph.D. degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan, he joined the University of Southern California, U.S.A as a Research Associates and worked on ocular drug delivery system. Dr. Podder is fluent in Bengali, English and Japanese and can understand Hindi and Urdu languages.
