Anita is an influential and passionate sales, sales management and medical affairs trainer for Innovara. Anita has over 20 years’ experience in Australia and New Zealand in the pharmaceutical industry, having covered a multitude of therapeutic areas including oncology, rheumatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, endocrinology, urology and primary care.
Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Anita managed the pharmaceutical supply and clinical application thereof to critical care patients at St John of God Hospital, Subiaco and Royal Perth Hosptial, Western Australia, as a senior clinical pharmacist. Anita joined Lilly Pharmaceuticals Australia as a cardiology specialist sales representative and progressed to national sales management in oncology. She was amongst the foundation MSLs in Australia at Lilly in 2007 and cultivated strategic partnerships in endocrinology, urology, cardiology and immunology.
Anita was lucky enough to launch Humira into the Australian spondyloarthropathy market with Abbvie. Anita formed the sales executive excellence (SEEC) programme at Abbvie, members of which exemplified innovation and leadership in the sales arena. SEEC succeeded in creating a culture of experiential learning, risk taking and sharing to improve sales skills across Australia and New Zealand. With Allergan, Anita launched a novel device into the Australian and New Zealand ophthalmology market for diabetic macular oedema, a patient-focused solution that allows patients to retain their sight with a twice-yearly intraocular injection rather than the previous monthly injections into their eyes.
Anita understands the importance of aligning medical activities to brand strategy with the patient at the core. Medical affairs teams lead through providing value to customers with exemplary knowledge and a relentless pursuit of excellence with the patient at the centre of everything they do. Enabling your team to perform at their best is at the core of Anita’s mission.
